Final Draft Test Method for Uninterruptible Power Supplies - December 27, 2010
EPA has revised its proposed ENERGY STAR test method for UPSs, resulting in the Final Draft Test Method and accompanying documents. With the publication of the Final Draft Test Method, EPA begins assembling data for use in specification development.
To address stakeholder concern regarding testing time, EPA will be splitting the dataset assembly period into two phases. In Phase 1, manufacturers are encouraged to submit existing test data (collected according to draft versions of IEC 62040–3) to ups@energystar.gov by January 15. Analysis of this data will guide Phase 2: new testing according to the Final Draft Test Method.
