EPA is now assembling a dataset on the energy performance of Small Network Equipment from which to establish draft eligibility criteria for the Version 1.0 ENERGY STAR® Small Network Equipment (SNE) specification. EPA will consider data submitted to networking@energystar.gov received by March 18, 2011 in development of eligibility criteria in future drafts. Below are files related to this effort: A fourth revision to the SNE test method, a comparison document to highlight changes to the previous revision, and a dataset form for use in recording test data.
EPA has released a third revision to the SNE test procedure that takes into account stakeholder comments received to date and refines the testing process. EPA will consider written comments on this draft submitted to networking@energystar.gov that are received by December 10, 2010. Following review of these comments, EPA will circulate the final test method and officially launch dataset development.
EPA has released a second revision to the SNE test procedure and has commenced with a data collection effort. EPA encourages stakeholders to run the procedure on a range of equipment and to forward to EPA both test data acquired using the procedure and written suggestions on any further revisions. EPA will review both comments and data to simplify the test method into a final version, which will be published in conjunction with the ENERGY STAR SNE product specification. Data collected using this test procedure and related comments must be forwarded to networking@energystar.gov by May 14, 2010.
